Summary

In this module, we’ve explored some key concepts related to data:

What is data? What makes digital data different?

How can data be classified and what are the different forms of data?

What are some important parts of the digital infrastructure for managing data?
 
What is the typical data lifecycle?

These are important fundamental concepts that we will build on in the upcoming modules.  

We also hope that we have dealt with some important buzz words and myths that you often encounter in connection with data. It is really important that we are on the same page as we move forward to look at how data is put to use in agriculture and get deeper into handling important issues like privacy, ownership, security, and more.
